This notice covers the SPIN OUT information website and its features. Spinout is organised by Jyväskylä Entrepreneurship Society (JES) in collaboration with the University of Jyväskylä. Event applications and messages sent through external services involve separate processing by the organisers and service providers.
Browser preferences & cookies
The website saves your language and light/dark theme choices in your browser’s local storage, under spinout-language and spinout-theme. These preferences stay on your device until you clear them or your browser removes them. They are used to remember your choices. No advertising or analytics scripts are configured in the website. External services may use their own cookies when you visit them.
You can also remove these preferences through your browser’s site-data settings.
Visiting the website
Loading a website involves sending technical connection information, such as your IP address and browser request details, to its hosting service. The hosting provider may process connection or security logs to deliver and protect the site. This website does not ask you to create an account or provide a name or email to browse its content.
Applications & contact
Application buttons take you to an external Google Form. Your application is submitted there, not through this website. Application information is used by the organisers for participant selection, team formation and event communication. Contact buttons open SPIN OUT’s LinkedIn or Instagram pages; messages are handled through those services. For application retention periods, the responsible controller, recipients or other processing details, contact the event organisers before submitting personal information.
Team profiles & event media
The website publishes team and guest names, roles, biographies and images to introduce the people involved in Spinout. Event photography and video may be used in Spinout/JES communications, social media, websites and promotional materials, as explained in the participation information. Contact the organisers with questions or requests about an image or profile featuring you.
External services
Links to Google Forms, LinkedIn, Instagram and other organisations take you to their services, which may process data under their own privacy notices, including outside the EU/EEA. The social previews on this website are locally hosted images, not embedded social feeds. The team guide lists existing team information and a countdown; it does not collect typed chat messages.
Questions & your rights
Where data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to processing, and receive data in a portable format, depending on the circumstances. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. Contact the organiser responsible for the relevant data to make a request. You may also raise a concern with Finland’s Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
